There will be no troop meeting this Sunday, May 13th in recognition of Mother's Day. The next Troop meeting will be held the following Sunday on May 20th at Mr. Leavey's house. Mr. Leavey has so graciously offered up his pool to conduct a swim test for the boys in advance of the start of summer camp. A swim test is required by the camp for all scouts. The Troop typically arranges a pre-camp swim test to qualify the boys in advance of the check-in day rush. It also allows the boys to enjoy the swimming opportunities sooner. If they cannot make the pre-camp swim test, that's ok, they will be able to do it at camp with the rest of the campers. Please note that since this is a Troop meeting, all T38 scouts are welcome and not limited to campers. Details are below:

If you have not already paid in full, don’t forget to send in your summer camp balance by this Sunday, April 22nd. The balance due is $342 ($392 less $50 deposit). After April 22nd the total due will jump to $433 except for the special Webelos cross over rate of $392 valid until 5/20 but on a space available basis only after 4/22. Although there is a Troop trip this weekend, we WILL be having a brief troop meeting this Sunday , Green Bar 6:30, Regular meeting 7 PM in the Lower Church to discuss plans for the Camporee. If Scouts are planning to attend summer camp the week of June 24th to June 30th, you should have already completed a summer camp reservation form and turned in your $50 deposit to hold your slot. Please be reminded that the balance is due by April 22nd in order to get the lowest rate of $392 and to keep your slot. The rates go up from there incrementally and your slot is no longer guaranteed and would be placed in a space permitting status after April 22nd. All forms and details including optional camp insurance can be found on the attached link to the summer camp information page on the Troop website http://www.troop38olssa.org/node/1398. Special note to crossovers – The lower rate of $392 is valid until 5/20 but on a space available only basis after 4/22. This means that you can take a little longer to make final payment, but it comes with a risk. if you do not make final payment by 4/22, we will need to remove your son's name from the Ockanickon camp roster and it can only be added back (space permitting) when payment is received in full.

After Stations of the Cross tomorrow (Friday) night, the parish could use your help at OLS Decorating the church for Easter. Especially those who can climb ladders and hang things.
