IMPORTANT TROOP MEETING AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Posted on Sep 19 2020 - 11:46am

We hope everyone enjoyed their summer and stayed safe and healthy.  With another summer behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the beginning of another scouting year with Troop 38.  While COVID-19 is still presenting many challenges to our meeting plans, we are now able to have in-person meetings following the State’s social distancing guidelines.  Masks must be worn whenever proper distancing cannot be maintained and a Pre-Event Medical Screening will be required for every adult leader and scout before attending any meeting or event.

Book Donations Needed - Eagle Scout Project for Eagle Candidate Gavin Schaeffer

Posted on Aug 8 2020 - 12:18pm

Eagle Scout Candidate, Gavin Schaeffer, would like to request your help in his Eagle Scout Project through book donations.  The project involves building a lending library station for Our Lady of Sorrows School.  The library station will be situated in front of the school for easy access to the public.  In keeping with the pandemic safety guidelines imposed by the State of NJ, Gavin is not asking for volunteers to help build the project but instead asking for your help in filling the library station with books.  This allows the troop an opportunity to be included in support of his project with safety being a priority.  Scouts may also earn service hours for their participation through donations.  The deadline is Wednesday, August 12th.  Additional details are below:

Online Merit Badge Classes Sponsored by Piedmont Council

Posted on Mar 30 2020 - 12:22pm
Hello Troop 38, We came across some helpful options to continue Merit Badge advancement during this time at home.  The Merit Badges below are being run by the Piedmont Council but are open to all.  Included is the direct link to this page where you can access the information and register.  Registration is limited so this information is time sensitive if you are interested.  It's also helpful to note that the table at the bottom also includes the links to the Merit Badge books and worksheets, which can be accessed for reference if any of these are also done in the Troop meetings, so keep this information handy.  Thank you!   Online Merit Badge Classes 2020
